APCN series mud desilter

APCN series mud desilter is the third phase equipment in solids control system. Solids control equipment with a set of desilter cyclone. It's similar as desander separatorThere are many different configurations. Such as hydrocyclones quantity, bottom shaker, color, electrical system, and so on. For example, some desilter cone number is 4, while some is 16.

Mud desilter is a combination of shaker, desilter cone. We call it drilling mud desilter, or hydrocyclone desilter, or desilter separator. For oil drilling mud process, almost of desilter cones are 4''. Before we confirming the configuration or design on desilter separator, we should consider the flow rate of all desilter cones. For example, 4" cone capacity is about 15-20m³/h and we request 240m³/h flow rate the equipment should be installed with 20 of 4'' desilter cones.

APCN Series Desilter cones are all made of high quality polyurethane. Such material is durable and anti-corrosive, oil-resistant, high temperature-resistant. They are very suitable for oil drilling mud process. For some clients, they prefer flexible capacity adjustment during operation so we'll install ball valves on the cones inlet line. Drilling fluids is transferred to desilter cones by centrifugal pump from the desander tank or compartment. Desilter cone is fed by desilter pump with fluids out of desander. Under pump pressure the fluids run into cones and flow with centrifugal force. Then the heavy particlas will deposit down and pushed out of cone drop in Apex. Particles larger than 15 microns will be separated out of drilling mud.

After APCN Series desilter processing, the cuttings larger than 15 microns will flow with fluids through outlet line of desilter. The drilling mud with solids spray out of cones drop down to bottom shaker. Under vibration and filtration, the solids will be more dry and save much fluids for well drilling.The cleaned mud is to be transferred to decanter centirufge. Some desilters are designed without bottom shaker, the drilling mud with solids will flow out of desilter on slide channel directly.

For drilling fluids desilter, the bottom shaker is a flexible configuration, too. It can be Hunter-D series, or Hunter-M, or Hunter-Mini. And the screen panels can be 2, 3, or 4, even 5. For some clients' preference on dual motion, it can be made as dual motion desilter separator, too.

Actually, the bottom shaker under desilter cone is used to dry fluids out of cone. So, the mesh size is higher and the capacity is enough for discharge from cone but not as coarse as previous shaker
